 CLASSIC PHOTO brings together a group of dealers in vintage 19th and 20th Century photographic images. Most deal privately and at other specialist events, and they bring rare and often unique images by both well known and neglected masters of the medium, as well as detailed knowledge of the history of photography and of the different processes used by early photographers. Exhibitors will include: Jenny Allsworth, Daniella Dangoor, Arnaud Delas, Ordinary - Light, Lisa Tao, Richard Meara, Bernard Quaritch, Bernard Shapero, Pierre Spake.

Classic Photo will include examples of the work of the earliest practitioners, from anonymous Daguerreotypists to masters of the medium such as Roger Fenton, from the era of 19th Century travel photography, and from those who practised photography as a conscious art form, through to the later pictorialists such as Frank Sutcliffe, Frederick Evans and HP Robinson. There will also be a range of 20th Century photographs for sale, from 1930s new realism to the photojournalists of the 1960s and 1970s. In addition the work of a small number of contemporary photographers will be shown.
The show will feature the wide range of styles and subject matter that is the fascination of the medium. The genius of photography is that from whatever period it uses a visual language that vividly speaks to us in the 21st Century.
