from anonymous Daguerreotypists to masters of the medium such as Roger Fenton,
from the era of 19th Century travel photography, and from those
who practised photography as a conscious art form, through to the later
pictorialists such as Frank Sutcliffe, Frederick Evans and HP
Robinson. There will also be a range of 20th Century photographs for
sale, from 1930s new realism to the photojournalists of the 1960s and
1970s. In addition the work of a small number of contemporary
photographers will be shown.

The show will feature the wide range of styles and subject matter that
is the fascination of the medium. The genius of photography is that from
whatever period it uses a visual language that vividly speaks to us in
the 21st Century.
